2026-2027 Graduate Research Opportunity Fellowship

Focus: The Nevada NASA Space Grant Consortium (NVSGC) invites applications for its Graduate Research Opportunity Fellowships (GROF), supporting full-time graduate students at the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institutions conducting research aligned with NASA Mission Directorate priorities.

Eligibility: Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) students who are U.S. citizens and full-time graduate students enrolled in a STEM program will be considered for a fellowship encompassing the full annual year (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters). All participating students must be supervised by at least one NSHE faculty mentor; and maintain full-time enrollment status at their institution(s) throughout the scholarship period. All qualified graduate students are encouraged to apply; however, priority will be given to new applicants who have not previously received NVSGC funding.

Fellowship Amount: $20,000 for the academic year.

Award period: Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Application deadline: Friday, March 13, 2026, 5pm PT
