NASA’s Science Mission Directorate issues an annual notice of federal funding availability called Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Science (ROSES). The ROSES document outlines what funding is available for competition, the purpose, eligible applicants, and information on how to apply for this funding. ROSES is the overarching document, called an omnibus solicitation, which contains multiple individual calls for the public to submit applications on a variety of topics and a summary of solicitation (SOS).
Over the last two decades, the length and complexity of ROSES has grown making the solicitation more challenging to understand and navigate. Through this recently released Request For Information, NASA seeks public and community input on approaches to improving ROSES for proposers at all levels of experience.
All responses must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on January 24, 2024.
