NASA is offering a webinar on Next Gen STEM to provide training on this topic to the Space Grant network. The webinar will be held Wednesday, October 14, at 2pm EST.
What is Next Gen STEM?
The Next Gen STEM (NGS) project is composed of an integrated portfolio of grants, partnerships, activities, educational products and student engagement opportunities designed to connect NASA’s missions, programs, people and STEM content to a primarily K-12 student audience. That is, Next Gen STEM is designed to reach students where they are – in school, afterschool program, informal institution like museums and science center, and at home. The goal of these efforts is to make meaningful connections to NASA that sparks students’ interest in STEM, that help them see themselves in STEM careers, and that provide opportunities to contribute to NASA’s mission in meaningful ways on their path to higher education.
