2025 NEVADA SPACE GRANT AND NASA EPSCoR STATEWIDE MEETING

Welcome

The 2025 Nevada NASA Programs Statewide Meeting will be held on March 10, 2025, at the University of Nevada, Reno – Joe Crowley Student Union (1664 N. Virginia Street, Reno, NV 89557) in Ballroom BC.  We are currently determining if presentations will be held virtually or strictly in-person, however, the Poster session will not be virtual. We are currently holding registration for in-person attendees only. Please only register if you plan to attend in-person.

The Statewide Meeting will showcase both oral and poster presentations highlighting the latest research findings from Nevada NASA EPSCoR and Nevada NASA Space Grant funded projects, alongside an inspiring keynote address. The goal of this event is to share valuable research insights from across Nevada NASA, stimulate collaboration and meaningful discussions, and strategize for future initiatives and activities.

Attendees

Attendees will include all individuals who have received NASA research project awards from the Nevada NASA Space Grant and Nevada NASA EPSCoR in 2024 as well as affiliates and advocates of the programs. All Nevada NASA project faculty and students, who are able, are expected to attend.

Registration is required. Please register by February 21, 2025.

Make sure to upload a completed NASA Media Release as part of your registration.

We are NOT providing a shuttle from the airport to individual hotels or UNR. Please make alternate arrangements.

West Stadium Parking Garage: Day passes are available on the top floor of the garage or at Parking Services.
Metered Parking: Available at $2.00 per hour with a two hour limit.
Meters are enforced Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 8:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm

Directions to the Student Union
From I-80 head north (uphill) on Virginia St. You’ll start to immediately see the University.
Drive under the pedestrian overpass and continue up Virginia St until you see an electronic billboard and parking garage on the right.
Turn right on 15th St, the entrance road next to the electronic billboard.
The Joe Crowley Student Union is at the end of 15th St.

From I-580/US-395 North (Stead, Golden Valley, Susanville):
Take I-580/US-395 south to I-80 West
Get off at Virginia Exit
Turn right (north) on Virginia St.

From I-580/US-395 South (South Reno, Carson City):
Take I-580/US-395 north to I-80 West
Get off at Virginia Exit

From I-80 East (Sparks, Fallon, Elko, Salt Lake City):

Student Poster Presentation

All students participating in research funded by the Nevada Space Grant are strongly encouraged to attend the annual meeting and provide a research poster presentation. A poster session will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, so that students may share their research with everyone in attendance. If you wish to participate in the poster session, please provide a headshot, an abstract, and a poster (for layout approval: size, logos, and acknowledgements) by Monday, February 17, 2025.

If poster layout is not up to guidelines – poster will be sent back to student for corrections.

Poster Session Eligibility: Students currently enrolled within a Nevada institution of higher education are eligible to participate in the poster session. All participants may submit posters for our website; however, only in-person attendees will participate in the poster session.
